Her oldest son Nathaniel Vinbury was deployed to Iraq in 2004 and 2005. He served for five years in the US Army as a Military Policeman (MP). He left the service with an Honorable Discharge, a Purple Heart and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Catherine's daughter is in her last year at the United States Naval Academy and in May of 2009 she will become a Junior Naval Officer in the United States Navy.
